LoopCV Review 2026: I Ran It for a Month, Was It Worth It?

I was applying to jobs the hard way – uploading the same CV, typing the same details into another form, twenty times a week, and hearing nothing back.

No surprise there: Greenhouse data reported by Yahoo Finance shows recruiters are now fielding roughly 400% more applications than a few years ago. After a few weeks of this, I started looking for something that could take the boring part off my hands. 

That’s when I found LoopCV. People kept mentioning it in job-search groups, and the promise was hard to ignore: it applies to jobs for you. So I signed up and tried it myself in August 2026. I uploaded my CV, set up a loop, and let it run.

How I Reviewed: I tested LoopCV on the free plan in August 2026 with a Senior Accountant resume. I uploaded it, tried both the CV builder and the CV checker, then ran a loop for Senior Accountant roles in New York City and went through the matches, fit scores, salary ranges, and application statuses on the dashboard. I stopped short of letting it apply to real companies and recruiters on my behalf, so for that part I relied on what actual users report on review sites.

What is LoopCV? Full Overview

LoopCV is an automated job application platform. Instead of searching and applying for one job at a time, you create a “loop” – your CV, the job titles you want, and the locations you’d work in. LoopCV then scans job boards for roles that match, and either applies for you automatically or sends the matches to your inbox so you can apply yourself.

AI's role in job hunting isn't a fringe habit anymore. According to Pew Research Center, 21% of U.S. workers used AI on the job as of September 2025, up from 16% the year before — and job seekers are riding the same curve, which is part of why tools like LoopCV exist.

Beyond applying, it emails recruiters directly, checks and builds your CV, and tracks everything on one dashboard. It’s best suited for people applying broadly who want the daily boring part handled for them – not those who tailor each application.

• It pulls from real job boards. Matches came from LinkedIn, SimplyHired, and Jooble, so these are live postings, not a stale internal list.

• Salary is on every row. I could see the pay range before clicking anything, which most job tools hide.

• It emails recruiters, not just forms. Loops send messages to hiring contacts directly, which is a step past what most auto-apply tools do.

• It runs without you. Once the loop is on, matches keep arriving daily with no logging in.

• Everything sits in one dashboard. Matches, applications, emails, interview prep, and a tracker, instead of four separate tools.

• You see matches before paying. The free plan shows real jobs for your search, so you can judge the quality before spending anything.

Where It Falls Short

• The generated resume is invented. Apart from the name, the headline and work history are fabricated, and that file is ready to send under a real person’s name.

• Uploaded resumes can’t be edited. Changing a single line means fixing the file elsewhere and uploading it again.

• The CV checker misreads the document. It asks for headlines and metrics that are already on the page, and never scores against a job description.

• “Applying” often means emailing a recruiter. LoopCV finds a company email address and sends a templated message with your resume attached. That sits in an inbox, and not in the employer’s hiring system, and users report emails going to CEOs and to roles that weren’t open.

• Matches rarely turn into applications. The most repeated complaint across review sites is large match counts producing tiny submission counts, and the dashboard backs it up: nearly every row is tagged External Apply Required rather than Ready to Apply.

• Applications go out before review. Auto-send emails and auto-fill forms are switched on by default, and the cover letter is generic and identical for every job in the loop.

• The free plan runs out fast. Applications are capped at 10/mo, and resume scans are limited to two. 

How Much Does LoopCV Cost?

LoopCV has four tiers – one free, three paid(billed monthly or quarterly).

The gap between Standard and Premium is where the pricing stops making sense. The extra $40 a month buys you more sends and nothing else. The matching doesn’t get smarter, and the sources don’t change. In my test, most matches could not be submitted by LoopCV anyway, so paying for the volume only helps if the tool can actually use it.

What I Found in My LoopCV Test (August 2026)

I didn’t want to judge LoopCV on its homepage claims, so I signed up, uploaded my own resume, and set a loop running to see what it would actually do. I started on the free plan with a Senior Accountant resume. Here’s what happened at each step.

CV Builder

LoopCV gave me two options: upload my existing resume or generate a new one. I uploaded mine, and it went in fine, but that’s all it does. I couldn’t edit the uploaded resume inside LoopCV. To change one line, I’d have to fix the file myself on another platform and upload it again.

Then I hit “Generate New CV”. My name was the only thing on the page that was mine. The headline, the work history, all of it was invented – a convincing resume for someone in that job title, but not my career.

In a tool that applies on my behalf, that’s not a draft I tidy up. It’s a fabricated work history going under my name. The full preview is paywalled too, so live preview, templates, and downloads all need a paid plan.

CV Checker

The CV Checker scans your resume and scores it out of 100. Mine came back at 77: Format 75, Sections 85, Content 80, Style 70.

The feedback was a mixed bag. Two calls were fair – my bullets are long, and there’s some repetition. The other two were wrong: it told me to add a headline I already have, and to add metrics when nearly every bullet already has a number. It’s generic advice, and it never scores against a job description.

Setting Up My First Loop

The builder runs in four steps. I set the title to Senior Accountant and the location to New York City, then picked an email template. Every option is pre-written, and the cover letter came pre-filled with lines “I believe that my experience and dedication make me a highly competitive candidate” – nothing about my background, and identical for every job it sends.

On the settings step, auto-send emails and auto-fill forms were already switched on, so applications go out in my name before I’ve seen anything. AI answering, which handles questions mid-application, is premium only.

The Job Matches

My first loop came back with No Perfect Matches Found for a Senior Accountant search in New York, plus 11 rejected matches I could unlock by loosening filters like location, title, or CV relevance.

When matches did come through, most were relevant, though not all – a staff accountant role at $70K-$95K sat alongside senior ones. The bigger issue is the status column: nearly everything was tagged External Apply Required, so LoopCV couldn’t submit it for me. Only one row said Ready to Apply. Each match does have a "Tailor your CV for this match" option, which is the one place the tool adapts your resume to a specific job.

I stopped short of letting it apply. I was testing with a sample resume, and I didn’t want fake applications landing with real companies and recruiters. For that part of the tool, I went to actual users' reports.

My Takeaway From the Test

LoopCV is quick to set up, and the matching mostly works. It found real Senior Accountant roles in my area with salaries attached. But the resume tools around it are thin. The builder invents work history and won’t let me edit what I upload, the checker gives advice that doesn’t match my document, and most matches need me to apply externally anyway. It’s a job-finding tool with an auto-apply layer that only covers part of what it finds.
